H.E. the President of GACA congratulates the leadership on the occasion of the Kingdom's 91st National Day

His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, and on behalf of GACA employees conveyed the most sincere congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense (may God protect him) and to the honorable Saudi people on the occasion of the 91st National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

In a statement, His Excellency stressed that this glorious occasion for our dear homeland that remind us of the great achievements made by this country founder King Abdulaziz (may God rest his soul) in uniting the parts of this vast entity to form a unique unit in our contemporary Arab and Islamic history.

 

He pointed out that our country today is witnessing qualitative leaps and rapid development in various fields, achieving record numbers in economic and social development, and a leading and pioneering global presence at various levels according to goals and objectives and promising plans based on the Kingdom’s vision 2030. He noted the support that the civil aviation sector has received as a major driver of economic growth and its wide impact on achieving sustainable development, and its main contribution to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and developing the air transport system.

 

He stressed that the announcement by His  Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz of the national strategy for transport and logistics, proceeded by the Cabinet's approval of the civil aviation sector strategy, is a clear indication of the attention and care given by the rational leadership and its belief in the important role of the civil aviation sector.

 

His Excellency noted the great achievements made by GACA under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince (may God preserve them) including the integration witnessed by GACA with government agencies and its partners in the public and private sectors, the most recent of which was the agreement with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority "SDAIA" with the aim of facilitating travel procedures, implementing sector strategies and institutionalizing it to be more free and flexible in a way that stimulates the sector’s expansion and development. This includes the institutional transformation of a number of airports and increasing the level of international coordination with specialized organizations so that they have headquarters in the Kingdom. An agreement was recently signed to establish a headquarters for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the capital city of Riyadh, which will contribute to providing the necessary support to air transport companies locally and regionally.

 

His Excellency stated: We will move forward with all our energies and capabilities to put a clear imprint on the march of the air transport sector, and increase the sector's contribution to the national gross product to enhance the Kingdom's position globally as an influential country in the international civil aviation industry.

 

At the conclusion of his statement, His Excellency the President of GACA called on God Almighty to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety and prosperity for this country, and bless its sons and daughters who are giving the utmost in the service of their religion and homeland
