GACA and Cisco sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of technical innovation

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) signed today a memorandum of understanding with Cisco Arabia Saudi Arabia Ltd. "Systems", in the presence of His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, and the Vice President and Global Innovation Officer of Cisco, Dr. Guy Diedrich.

 

The signing of the memorandum, which took place at GACA’s headquarters in the capital city of Riyadh, was signed by GACA’s assistant to the president for technology and digital transformation, Eng. Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Shaya, while it was signed by the CEO of Cisco in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Salman bin Abdulghani Faqih.

 

The MoU comes within the objectives of the civil aviation sector strategy to enhance the scope of cooperation in the field of technology and digital transformation. This is the scope in which GACA is keen to activate with international institutions and companies specializing in advanced technical fields, in order to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of digital transformation in line with the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
