GACA Participates in the International Conference on Air Services Negotiations “ICAN”

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) participated today via video conference in the work of the International Conference on Air Services Negotiations for the year 2021 (ICAN2021) which was hosted by the Republic of Colombia during the period 6-10 December 2021, and was organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with the participation of about 152 countries.
 
The participation of GACA comes to embody its leading position in the air transport industry and its active role in its development at the global level. Moreover, to strengthen international relations in the field of civil aviation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the countries of the world, allowing national carriers to expand their network of operational plans. This in addition to achieving the highest degrees of safety and security, keeping pace with the rapid developments in this industry, and activating GACA’s strategic plan to review and update the basics governing air transport.
 
The International Conference on Air Services Negotiations “ICAN” constitutes an opportunity to hold bilateral negotiation and consultation sessions with representatives of countries to update and activate the regulatory and operational frameworks for civil aviation, or multilateral on air services to provide better services to the air transport community and to facilitate the establishment of links between regulators, air operators and relevant service providers. This will result in a positive advantages to expedite negotiation mechanisms.
