GACA organizes a virtual workshop on institutional quarantine procedures and protocols

26 may  2021

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) organized a virtual workshop in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism, with the participation of a representative from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and more than 150 representatives of national and foreign carriers operating in the Kingdom's airports.

The workshop aims to familiarize air transport companies operating in airports with the mechanism and institutional quarantine procedures for those coming to the Kingdom, clarify their roles and responsibilities, and answer their questions in this regard.

The workshop also addressed the need for all concerned authorities and air transport companies operating in airports to comply with the measures taken by the Kingdom Authority, and the precautionary and preventive measures approved by the Ministry of Health.

It is worth noting, that GACA had previously circulated to airlines operating in the Kingdom's airports, to apply the institutional quarantine to non-Saudi citizens and exempted groups who are not immunized, and those coming from countries from which the arrival has not been suspended.
